'We were not prepared for how special the villa and the staff were. It was an amazing place and the location on the beach was breathtaking. We had the place to ourselves for 4 nights and found the attention we received from all of the staff and Samantha, the chef, to be exceptional. The food was amazing and we needed long walks on the beach to avoid putting weight on! Another highlight was seeing a turtle lay its eggs on "our beach"!' DP - March 2015

'Sri Villas - beautiful, the beach location was great. The staff and self catering/cook arrangements were great and very reasonable. The only negative for the kids was the waves crashing on the beach were very loud at night!' R.M - Feb 2014

Sri Villas was the the best place for us. Latha took care of the house and the cook/service boys were all great. Everything was cleaned and done for us but we still felt like we had the house to ourselves. Latha helped us with finding a doctor in town when our son got at stomach infection as well as finding our nice tour guide. HS -December 2010

The three villas Sagara, Nisala and Ayralia are all designed to accommodate a different number of guests. Suites in all three can also be rented individually for couples depending on the time of year and availability.

Nisala is the smallest and arguably the most charming of the three villas, with just two double bedrooms upstairs, a large open plan living space with kitchen and a wide veranda next to the pool.

Sagara has three double bedrooms two of which are upstairs and one off the lounge, ideal for children. Again there is a large open plan living space with kitchen and a wide veranda with planters chairs overlooking the garden and the beach.

Finally Aryalia is the largest villa with four double bedrooms, two upstairs and two down - again ideal for a family as the ground floor rooms are slightly smaller. The living accommodation has a similar set up to the other villas with large folding glass doors that make the most of the lovely setting.

All rooms are fully air-conditioned, with en suite bathrooms and the upstairs rooms have private verandas. The three villas have beautiful living/dining areas within the body of the house, with huge shutters that open up on all sides creating a light and airy atmosphere. Please note that the three villas share one communal pool.

The villas are fully staffed including an on-site cook and houseboys. There is a fairly extensive menu and daily specials too, plus discuss with the team if you'd like any special experiences like hopper nights or BBQ's on the beach. A few examples include garlic prawns, Sri Lankan curry, grilled squid salad and tom yam soup. Or more Western dishes like lobster thermidor, couscous salad and bouillabaisse or coq au van.

The villas are located directly on the beach about 2.5 hours south of Colombo. The beach is extremely beautiful during season (Nov-Mar) and much quieter than neighbouring areas such as Bentota. Having said that Bentota is excellent for water sports, river trips and deep sea fishing. There are also several hotels and local restaurants for evening outs.

Other activities in Induruwa include a visit to a turtle hatchery or a ride on the coastal railway, but perhaps the most pleasurable is simply to take a couple of bikes or scooter a short ride inland. Just 1km from the coast Sri Lanka's scenery completely changes; the developed coastal road is substituted for lush vegetation and paddy fields. The traffic noise and chaotic swell of the sea disappears, the wildlife is more evident and the air lightens. Just take a picnic and explore. It's very flat and most of the roads are shaded by tall palms.
