Skye House is a loveable two-storey beach house set amidst gardens scattered with coconut trees and edged by the turquoise seas. Ideal for families, the villa has five bedrooms and an open plan living room set around the gorgeous swimming pool.

Skye House is smart and stylish, while also being an ideal base for young children. Upstairs it has two double rooms and a children's room furnished with six bunk beds. The bedrooms open on to a balcony that skirts around and has spectacular sea views. Two more rooms - a double and a twin room -- are downstairs. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suites and have air conditioning and overhead fans.

The living areas are also stylish and spacious. The open-plan living and dining area is set around the swimming pool and have views of the garden and sea beyond. There is a study room furnished with a work desk and wifi internet, as well as a well-equipped kitchen with a central breakfast bar. The house comes with an excellent chef, Sanjay, who can prepare Sri Lankan and western meals.

During the dry season, from December to April, it is safe to swim and bogey board in the sea in front of the villa. There is also a PADI certified scuba diving centre nearby and we can arrange whale watching at the nearby Mirissa Beach. Guests can also explore Galle's historic Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow streets lined with Dutch and British colonial era buildings which are still in use.
