"We LOVED the holiday!! It was totally amazing.....the perfect honeymoon. We loved the house, the location and the house boy.....all was amazing." VB

Kikili is one, of only two, truly private one bedroom beach villas on the island. An absolute must if you want romantic beach retreat. This wonderful little hideaway is decorated with bold fabrics, huge cushions, mosaic tiles and eclectic antiques. The exact opposite of chic minimalism but very cosy and comfortable. Although there is direct access to the beach the sea in front of the villa is rarely calm enough for swimming. A short walk along the beach brings you to Wijaya lagoon which is a reef protected.

Kikili has one double bedroom with en-suite and a huge day bed in the lounge. This makes it perfect for honeymoon couples or family with one young child.

The lounge is well equipped with sofa, games cupboard, fridge and bar. There is also a small open plan kitchen with cooker and fridge. French doors lead out onto the spacious verandah with it's colourful seating and dining area. In the garden there is a swimming pool and pavilion where you can sit and sip your cocktails whilst watching the sun go down.

The villa has a full time cook/house boy who sleeps in a small building in the grounds. He will either cook for you, act as a personal shopper or take you to the local markets to purchase fresh fish, fruit and vegetables should you wish to prepare your own meals. However, with numerous restaurants and stylish independent hotels located nearby most guests opt to eat out at nighttime.

Local activities include fishing, diving, surfing, whale watching (season December to April). In the nearby town of Galle is the 17th Century Dutch Fort a UNESCO World Heritage site which is well worth a visit. Excursions to Ude Walawe National Park and Dondra Lighthouse can also be arranged. Unawatuna is ideal for surfing and has a vibrant nightlife with many rustic bars and superb local boutique hotels.
