If you're seeking a luxurious, private villa retreat on a wonderfully wide beach with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean then look no further than Habaraduwa House. Built in 2001, the villa recently underwent thorough renovations and improvements, and today boasts polished stone flooring, high timber ceilings and tall glass windows which welcome the tropical sun and ocean breeze.

It is set out as a series of stand alone buildings. In the centre there is a huge Living Room, flanked on each side by two bedrooms, an open-air dining pavilion and a further bedroom, all of which face the ocean. They are linked by a full length terrace, with steps to the swimming pool and garden.

Behind these buildings runs a long wall, on the other side of which is the main entrance, games room, the fourth bedroom and kitchen building.

The three bedrooms on the ocean side have double four poster beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers and sensational view to the ocean. Two of the bath bathrooms also have outdoor showers, so that you can take your shower under the evening stars! The fourth bedroom has twin four poster beds - which can be pushed together to make a double, a large seating area and a big bathroom with a shower and a bath tub. There is also a large terrace off the bedroom where you can take in the wonderful view of the ocean.

The villa comes fully staffed with a majordomo, cook, two housekeeping staff and a gardener/pool boy. They are there to look after your every need during your stay and the cook can prepare sumptuous local meals and international cuisine on request.

With its close proximity to the Unesco heritage listed town of Galle there is plenty to do in the area. We can also arrange numerous other activities including bike rides, boat trips, scuba diving, tours of tea estates and factories, temple visits and whale watching. We only advise swimming in the sea at certain times of the year, namely December to April.
