They take great pride in their service and pay great attention to detail. An example of this are the breakfast boxes they provide at 5am if you would like to get an early start and head into Kruger. Rissington offers a choice of 19 bedrooms ranging from the smaller courtyard rooms to larger double rooms, garden suites and the largest hillside suites. All rooms have their own entrances, views over the valley and a veranda. Rooms are en suite with a Victorian bath and ceiling fans. The garden and hillsite suites also offer outside, walled off showers.

The two hillside suites offer 2 en suite bedrooms each as well as a lounge. These two suites are set a way from the main lodge and also share a pool. They have large terraces and the best views!

The restaurant offers meals all day in the charming homestead with emphasis on relaxation and quality. The a la carte menu offers some interesting gastronomic surprises, prepared by experienced chefs and complimented by an extensive wine list.

In the evenings enjoy sundowners by the bar, inspired by interesting stories and sweeping views over the valley.

This award winning country lodge is stylish, yet easy going with friendly staff, allowing guests to feel at home. Surrounded by 10 acres of colourful garden and views over the Sabie River Valley offering lovely walks where bird and game sightings are not uncommon. 1) Located an an easy 4 hours' drive from Johannesburg, or just under and hour from Kruger/Mpumalanga International Airport. Great to combine a few nights here with a few nights in one of the nearby Kruger Private Game Reserves .

2) The nearby Panorama Route offers the most beautiful scenic surroundings, waterfalls and walking trails. The spectacular Blyde River Canyon and the 3 Rondawels are a must to see, along with Bourkes Luck Potholes and God's Window. To see all of this you do really need to have a full day free as not to rush all the sightseeing.

3) The area also boasts great adventure activities from the nearby Elephant Sanctuary is a must to walk trunk-in-hand with these majestic animals, enjoy the thrill of the Aerial Cable Trail, the gentle adventure of a scenic balloon flight or horse-riding, quad-biking and river rafting. Even if you are still visiting a nearby private reserve, you can also enjoy a safari into the Kruger National Park in an open vehicle.

4) Experience the Shangaan Culture at the nearby Shangaan Cultural Village where the Evening Festival will delight the senses with singing, dancing & story-telling. For the golfers, the Hazyview area offers a number of outstanding golf courses to work on your handi-cap.
