Fleewinter

The Nest is one of the newest properties in Palawan. Its location, a 15-minute walk along the coast from the town of El Nido, is a highlight of this family-run hotel. Views looking out over the water toward Cadlao Island are simply stunning, especially as the sun sets.

Rooms include garden view queen and twin villas, seaside villas, and one bay view villa overlooking the water. All rooms have an outdoor sitting area, mini-fridge, and tv. High ceilings keep the rooms light and cool although fans and AC are both in place. Decor is simple and contemporary, highlighting Filipino design and woodwork. Windows looking toward the garden are made of privacy glass so guests inside can enjoy natural light without passersby peeking in.

With only 12 rooms, the owners here ensure that guests are well looked-after. A tricycle shuttle is available to take guests into town and back. An open-air yoga studio looks out over the ocean and an infinity pool will be added later in 2017.
