Shelbourne Villa is a truly beautiful 1920s villa, situated only a few hundred metres from the centre of Nelson set back from the road on a quiet residential street.

It has four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom and plenty of room to spread out. The most luxurious room is The Loft which takes up the whole top floor of the villa and has a private terrace overlooking Nelson and the Tasman Bay, where you can quite easily relax with a glass of local wine at the end of a busy day exploring. The Garden Suite has a private entrance and a small kitchenette and lounge area; ideal for those who are staying in Nelson for longer periods.

Val and Wayne, both born and bred New Zealanders, are the perfect hosts and will leave you to make yourself at home or provide you with as much local information as you desire.

Breakfast is served in the dining room which looks out over the rooftops of Nelson and up towards the hills behind the city. There is plenty to choose from including cereals, fruit and homemade yoghurt plus a daily changing cooked option.

If you have been travelling for a while, this is the perfect place to rest and recharge, with laundry facilities available and DVD players in all rooms.
