Hotel DeBrett is a small, luxurious hotel in the heart of the vibrant shopping and business district of Auckland. It has a long, colourful history from when it was built as one of Auckland’s first hotels back in 1841 to the sophisticated establishment that is present today.

There are 25 rooms and suites, each with their own distinctive style but all featuring the same bespoke carpet that reflects the quirky nature of the hotel. All rooms feature double-glazing, goose down bedding and cotton bed linen for that perfect night’s sleep. Bathrooms have a deep bathtub, a separate walk in shower, double hand basins and under-floor heating.

A small breakfast is included in the room price or a more substantial option can be purchased separately. The restaurant is usually bustling with clients from both in and outside the hotel, as the quality of the food is outstanding. There are two bars to choose from, the House Bar on the first floor has been redecorated in the original art deco style and is removed from the hubbub of city life. The Corner Bar is at ground level and is popular with office workers for post work drinks; it is a lively space with plenty of opportunity to watch the world go by.
