"Outstanding in every aspect for us - felt really authentic and part of the local community and really away from it all. Immaculate hotel and grounds. Great food and service we didn't eat anywhere else. SO pleased we weren't on the main bay next door - that could have been any asian beach destination" - Alex S, Dec 2018

"Yoma cherry was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in, soon friendly staff, sea view room great, huge with big balcony, not fancy with no bath robes or free toiletries but classy. Massage amazing, restaurant right on beach with lovely sunsets every night, beach was really pretty and plenty of local life to watch with fishing boats leaving every afternoon at 4pm. This was the highlights of the holiday and wish we had longer, the hotel was definitely undersold, so much better than big impersonal hotels down the road, food was excellent too with lovely fresh fish, cannot praise this hotel too highly." - Sarah M, Nov 2016.

Located in a small sleepy village on the bay, this boutique beach hotel, run by a British woman who has lived here for more than 10 years, is a place where people find themselves wanting to return to year after year!

Offering fantastic sunset views over the ocean, Yoma Cherry Lodge is a delightful spot to refresh and recharge.

The hotel has 13 ensuite rooms, five of which are Beach Pavilion rooms and eight of which are Garden Pavilion. Rooms are decorated simply and elegantly, and offer either a king bed or twins. The ornate wood-fronted pavilions are designed to evoke the architecture of Myanmar's traditional monasteries.

The Beach Pavilion is right on the sands, with three of its rooms opening out onto the beach and two at the back with no view. The Garden Pavilion is set back a little further and contains ground floor and first floor rooms, with the upper level rooms giving partial sea views. We love the upper rooms as they have balconies and high ceilings but it is worth noting that most of the Garden Pavilion rooms do have wet room bathrooms - so no separate shower cubicle, which is very common in this corner of the world.

The hotel has its own restaurant and bar. Seafood is Nagpali's specialty, and local restaurants offer freshly caught fish and shellfish served in both traditional Myanmar dishes, as well as Japanese sushi and sashimi, should you wish to venture out and explore.

Excursions include fishing, snorkelling, bicycle tours and market visits, but visitors can also enjoy unwinding in the sunshine on the hotel's private stretch of beach.
