"Extraordinary hotel in the middle of nowhere! Such a unique setting and the villages were amazing. Great staff." - Fiona McF, Feb 2019

A night at Yandabo Home is more than a stop-over on the road between Mandalay and Yangon, it is a completely unique opportunity to spend the night off the beaten track and in the heart of a lovely village; where its habitants live in harmony with nature and are well known in the country for their great skill in pottery making.

With its rooms showcasing a comfortable design and warm atmosphere, Yandabo Home was created to embody all the vital elements of the magical environment surrounding it and it is true to its concept up to the point that TV, internet/wifi and telephone are not part of the offered facilities.

Nevertheless the guest will feel completely bonded with the destination because from the predominant grey and red tones to evoke clay and pottery, to the central teak wood deck softly overlooking the river.

There are four double and eight twin bedrooms at our Yandabo Home; all of them featuring the same design style based on a modern yet local inspired vision. These charming rooms in the heart of the Ayeyarwaddy river shore are equipped with safe, air conditioning, comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom.

Despite its remote location, Yandabo Home is ready to offer delicious Asian dishes on its marvelous wooden deck overlooking the river. Each dish has been selected to create a further connection with the local environment and bring the overall guest experience to a higher level.

The hotel is about a three hour drive from Mandalay and two hours from Bagan.
