After arriving by boat following a scenic trip down the river, a warm welcome awaits at this relaxing spot for travellers looking to get off the beaten track. Inspired by the traditions and culture of the Rakhine people, the resort hosts guests in picturesque "village houses." Rooms can be booked as singles, doubles or twins and extra beds are also available.

The thatched rooftops replicate the style of traditional monasteries and sit atop a spacious interior with a combined bedroom and living space. The rooms are bright and again follow traditional tastes. Bathrooms feature two sinks and separate baths and showers.

For those looking to unwind, the resort's spa can provide you with treatments to recharge your batteries. A swimming pool was under construction in early 2016 and will be a welcome addition to the resort's relaxing and charming vibe.

Enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at the bar during sunset and dine at the resort restaurant. Trips to local villages, cycling, boat racing and culture shows are available of request. Guests also have the option to learn some traditional crafts.

Mrauk Oo Princess also have their own private boat, which is available for river transfers to and from Sittwe Airport.
