"Peaceful family run B&B in an affluent area of Yangon." - Fiona McF, Feb 2019

This sweet little welcoming Burmese family-run hotel is located in a peaceful residential area, but close to the downtown action. It really feels more like you are stepping into a friend's beautiful, traditional home than a hotel. In the lobby you can relax in Burmese wooden carved chairs and admire the carved ceiling while a sweeping staircase curves upstairs to lead you to the main rooms. The cheaper and smaller rooms are downstairs in the house and there is also a second building next door with a few more rooms.

All eleven rooms are decorated in a colonial-style while communal areas are furnished with Myanmar artifacts, paintings and sculptures.. Five standard rooms are elegantly decorated in teak and white, with drapes and cushions providing splashes of vibrant colour.

The Standard are really better for single travellers, while the Deluxe rooms are more spacious and one has a balcony where you can take in the balmy air (it is well worth upgrading to this room if it is available). It is possible to turn one of the deluxe rooms into a triple (room 101) and one room even has a private kitchen for those wishing to do a spot of cooking during their stay at this bed and breakfast.

There is also an on-site restaurant serving a range of home-cooked dishes.

The Golden Valley neighbourhood, in which the hotel is located, is one of Yangon's most upmarket and the area is popular for golfing. The Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the major tourist attractions of Yangon, is only a 30 minute walk away and Yangon International Airport is a 30 minute drive.
