There are 12 Garden View room, 24 Beach View rooms, 4 Luxury Family rooms and 1 Family Villa. Decorated in 'island style' and set amongst tropical gardens and offers views of the ocean or gardens. All have outdoor porches to relax.
All chalets are equipped with air con, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, safe and tea/coffee facilities. Chalets are all en suite with a bath and private outdoor shower.
The 20 standard chalets have queen/twin beds whilst the superior rooms have kingsize/queen beds and direct access to the beach.
The Flamingo Restaurant is in the main lodge and dinners are announced by the sound of African drums. Open daily and serves a mixture of local & international cuisine. The Sunset Bar is more informal and serves light meals throughout the day.
Pestana Bazaruto offers and outdoor swimming pool, games room with a pool table, table tennis and board soccer game. Additional board games are available. There is a dvd & video room with DSTV and for those needing to stay in touch there is internet access and laptop connections. There is a library, curio shop and Kids Club. Baby sitting is available on request.
The rate includes daily snorkeling at Coral Gardens, daily drop & collect at Dolphin Bay - white beach with turquoise waters, daily use of windsurfers, canoes and Hobbie cats with a rescue boat on standby, one 30 minute water-ski lesson per stay, one bodysurfing trip to Three Trees Beach per stay - with a qualified instructor on hand
Additional activities include diving, fishing (shore, off-shore & fly), Marlin fishing, island hopping trips, picnics, sunset trips (with Land Rover, boat or local Dhow), bird watching, water-ski, wake boarding and wake snake.
Pestana Bazaruto has a PADI diving school. The necessary equipment can be hired and snorkel trips can be booked here. A 10-minute drive with a
4x4 vehicle, Bazaruto's snorkel reef is extremely safe and pleasant for children.
Access to Pestana Bazaruto is possible with daily flights from Johannesburg to Vilanculos and then either a short flight or boat transfer to the lodge.
