With many riads in Morocco being decorated in a more modern style, and with plunge pools taking over courtyard spaces, the true spirit of the traditional riad is being diluted. Whilst Karawan Riad is one of the newest renovations the focus has been completely on capturing the true spirit of restful decor; spacious lofty rooms and tranquility in all areas. For this reason all the suites are on the first floor and the ground level is dedicated to spaces to relax.

That is not to say there is any compromise on comfort. All seven rooms are individually decorated, are air-conditioned and heated, and have a bathroom with shower or bath.

Demani: Set on the roof terrace with its own private patio and a small writing room; sunken bath with 3 foot depth; low ceilings.
Suhali: Lounge, office space and a patio area; a walled garden leads to the Laawan suite.
Laawan suite: On the middle floor and optionally combinable with the Suhali suite. Conservatory studio and sunken bath.
Dzhari: Two corner balconies overlooking the courtyard; fireplace; terrace; shower. Harmattan: Red and white styling, seating area and a corner balcony.
Chergui: The largest of the suites with a studio and a mezzanine lounge; rain-head shower.
Zephyr: A smaller suite on the first floor, suitable for a single person; the mezzanine bathroom has a terrace overlooking the medina.

Facilities: The restaurant offers a bistro service at lunchtime and a gastronomic menu during dinner; there is also a tea room open during the afternoon. A hammam and spa are available for reservations, with a selection of treatments.

Other info: Free wi-fi connectivity in common areas and within the rooms. A laundry service is available.
