Likely one of the most unique properties in all of Mauritius, So Sofitel is simply divine with the entire concept built around relaxation and a peaceful ambiance. You’ll feel as though you’re walking amounts an oasis of tranquility and lush gardens just steps away from the crystal blue waters. Sober designs and noble materials are highlighted throughout the property with colorful Kenzo Takada creations, uniquely created for So Sofitel Mauritius.

While the property is ideal for couples and honeymooners, it nicely accommodates families with a kids club and spacious suites. You'll typically only find families here during school holidays. The spacious, tranquil lay-out is designed in such a way that the property remote and private, even when operating at full capacity.

There are three beaches that are spread out so each feels private and quiet and a main pool that rests directly in front of the beach, in the unique shape of a Panga knife (the knife traditionally used to cut sugar cane).

The Rooms
The 92 sleekly designed suites are all single level and offer supreme luxury and privacy with individual eden-like gardens . The suites are intimately nestled across 34 acres of lush vegetation, making each feel like your own private sanctuary. The rooms are extremely quiet leaving you to enjoy the simple sounds of chirping birds and ocean waves. Immerse yourself in the delight of nature with the outdoor bathtub and shower found in each suite (indoor shower as well, of course).

The 82 Prestige Suites (60m2) have a large private garden with a bathtub and shower in the patio. The rooms can accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child (under 12). There are 8 adjoining rooms.

There are 6 Beach Villas (100m2) including 2 family villas (110m2) with an alcove for two children (under 12). Each has an ocean view, private garden with a private plunge pool, direct beach access and outdoor bathtub and shower. Each villa includes 24-hour butler service.

The resort has two Villa Beaulieu (200m2) for the creme of the crop accommodation! Each villa is set in a superb location with view over the Ocean, sitting room, dining room, private garden with a large, 27-m2 swimming pool equipped with a “child safety” alarm and a private hammam. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a bathroom (bathtub), vanity, patio and outdoor shower. The villas accommodate 2 adults and 4 children (under 12) or 4 adults and 2 children (under 12).

The Facilities
There are two restaurants where you’ll experience 5* cuisine and service and two bar areas. The waterside “Le Flamboyant” restaurant boasts an open kitchen and some of the best of French and Mauritian cuisine in a sophisticated setting. For a lounge ambiance, go to “La Plage” restaurant: seafood, tapas, lobster, grilled fish and local specialities. DJ every day. Enjoy local bites by the pool ‘snack bar’ during the daytime.
