Sands Resort & Spa is one of the few boutique resorts in Mauritius. The property sits on a lovely long stretch of white sand beach along a quiet lagoon with stunning views overlooking Tamarin Bay. The sea is turquoise and tranquil, ideal for swimming, all types of water sports and dolphin viewing year-round!

The resort’s quiet and peaceful atmosphere is optimal for adults and couples. You’ll seep into the comfortable, relaxed feeling the moment you enter the open-air reception area. The lovely beach town of Flic-en-Flac is only a five minute’s drive away, where you can experience the local cafes and nightlife.

The resort was fully renovated in 2014 leaving decor fresh, elegant and simple with vibrant colored throw pillows adding a pop of youthfulness and fun.

The Suites
The 91 suites are spacious and sea-facing, with the only differentiator being location and beach access. Great value as these are the largest base level rooms in all of Mauritius, measuring 52sqm.

Superior Suites are the base level room and have a private sea facing balcony and are located on the 1st and 2nd floor, ideal for maximum privacy. Deluxe suites are located on the ground level and offer direct access to the beach. Beachfront suites have a private terrace with a premium beach front location. There is one Exclusive Suite (145sqm), which is located on the first floor and has two bedrooms and a large living and dining space.

There are five sets of interconnecting suites ideal for larger groups/families and 32 of the suites can convert into twin beds. All rooms are equipped with a sofa bed, bathtub and a walk in dressing area with two closets-you won't be at a loss for swimsuit storage!

The Facilities
There are four restaurant ranging from buffet to a la carte fine dining options. The Dolphin Bar is the main restaurant/bar with a spacious outdoor seating area designed to enjoy a view of the sea from any table. It’s the perfect spot to sip an afternoon cocktail or sample the homemade rum. There is live music every evening until 10pm.

The buffet has a 12-theme rotation dinner, leaving you tasting new flavors and cuisine each night. Sneak away one night for a romantic beach dinner at PinkPepperCorn to enjoy fresh lobster or the local catch of the day. Tamarind Terrace is the fine dining restaurant offering high quality local cuisine with specific wine pairings.

As the resort is primarily adult only, it is sans kids club but they welcomes families nonetheless. There is a smaller pool next to the large main ocean-facing infinity pool as well as water sports and ping pong for the older children (and adults, let's be honest ;).

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the full service spa or simply kick back in the sauna/hammam, free of charge. The resort has a full range of water sport activities ranging from glass bottom boat to motorized water sports. And of course, don’t forget the fully equipped gym with weekly yoga and aqua gym classes.
