Nestled within a tropical forest and abutting the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, Sepilok Nature Resort offers tastefully designed chalets for couples and small families.

A short walk from the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Sun Bear Conservation Centre, guests can visit these attractions on their own schedule. The Rainforest Discovery Centre is a quick ride away and transportation can be arranged at the resort. Within the grounds is a short nature trail that guests may visit on their own or accompanied by a knowledgeable member of the staff who can provide information about the local plants. Guided night walks into the Forest Reserve are also available.

All chalets are designed for two people with either a king or two twin beds. They are spacious enough to accommodate one additional bed for a child. All have air conditioning, ceiling fan, and an outdoor balcony with hammock and chairs. Recently renovated, all chalets have large showers and double-sinks. Chalets are located around a stream and have varying degrees of privacy and stairs required. For those who don’t mind a longer walk to the restaurant and main lodge, we recommend the chalets that back up to the Forest Reserve. In addition to the greatest chance of seeing a variety of birds in the morning, there’s also a possibility of flying squirrels and various monkeys making an appearance.

Meals are served in the open-air restaurant which serves a variety of international cuisine and beverages. A swimming pool is planned although construction won’t begin for some time yet. WiFi is available in the restaurant and main lodge where lake-view seats are reserved for in-house guests. An upstairs lounge is also reserved for guests and is an excellent place to pass an afternoon with a view over the lake into the forest and comfortable seating including a swinging chair, bean bags, and a more traditional sofa.

Formerly known as Sepilok Nature Resort, in September 2023, the Lodge began renovation work. Construction work may occur 09:00-17:00 daily until further notice.
