A variety of lodges inside Mount Kinabalu Park, all walking distance to the Botanical Garden offering simple rooms up through self-contained chalets.
Hill Lodge has ten rooms, each with two single or one queen-sized bed. There are small sitting areas inside and out. Rooms are plainly decorated and simply furnished. Peak Lodge has four rooms, all two-bedroom units with self-catering facilities. Each unit has twin beds in one room and a queen bed in the other bedroom, a living area with fireplace, and a kitchen and dining space. Firewood is provided. These four units have balconies facing the majestic Mount Kinabalu.
Nepenthes Lodge is comprised of eight two-story units, each with two bedrooms, a basic kitchen, and comfortable living area with fireplace. For those seeking a bit more comfort, luxury, and space, Garden and Summit Lodges are one unit each. These free-standing chalets have full kitchens, two bedrooms, and comfortable seating areas with lovely fireplaces. One bedroom in each unit has two single beds while the other has a king bed. Kinabalu Lodge is similar in its level of comfort and has three bedrooms, one with a king bed and the others with two single beds.
Liwagu Restaurant and an Exhibition Centre are a five-to-ten minute walk from the various lodges. There are no street lamps so bringing a torch is recommended.
