Historic buildings have been lovingly converted into a peaceful retreat set in tropical gardens with a large and lush lotus pond.
The main building of the hotel, which is protected by UNESCO, was once the home of a King’s brother while the gardens were once royal stables. The lush gardens bring in the feel of nature that Laos is beloved for and also serve to dampen the road noise.
All rooms have balconies with the Superior rooms in one building facing the gardens, lotus pond and bar area. The brighter, more spacious Deluxe rooms are in a separate building facing the lotus pond and are closer to the swimming pool. An extra bed can be added to Deluxe rooms only. There are two Superior rooms that connect to each other through a lounge so we recommend this option for families. While there are two Suites, we don't love these as the location next to the road can be noisy.
The bar and restaurant has a lovely terrace overlooking the pond, providing a peaceful spot for breakfast or the end of a day of exploring. Beside the terrace is an indoor restaurant where western and traditional Lao food is served for lunch and dinner.
