300 years old, this now boutique hotel has been part of Fort Cochin’s heritage for many years, and is a property that offers culture and history in every way. As the first hotel of old Cochin the original style of the property is Dutch with hints of Portuguese architecture. This has been kept in its restoration with additional modern amenities ensuring a comfortable visit for all who stay.

The Swiss/German architect worked with the owner Edgar Pinto to create a modern touch on this colonial style building with varied artwork juxtaposing antique furniture. Each of the 13 rooms is completely individual and will look out over a courtyard or the famous Chinese Fishing nets, whilst the garden cottages have their own veranda with a private pond and open-air showers. All are light and airy and offer a true feel of Kerala.

The hotel is set amid beautiful gardens with a large pool as well as being surrounded by a wall so you can feel a true sense of privacy whilst being right in the hub of bustling Fort Cochin.

If you would like to dine here the restaurant has tables both inside, and out in the garden, where you can enjoy organic vegetables, fresh juices and a changing seafood menu cooked on a barbecue each night.

Note: this hotel currently only holds a beer and wine license and no other alcohol is served. Guests may bring their own alcohol to consume in their rooms if they wish.
