Champakali is home to two villas, Banyan and Teak which both sleep up to six people, so depending on the size of your group you can stay in one of them or both. Each villa has three bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms and verandahs as well as common spaces, such as breezy living rooms, patios with lounging chairs and covered courtyards. There is also a swimming pool in the grove trees in the garden surrounded by plenty of shade and sun to ensure you are comfortable in the afternoon heat.

Located inland and in Old Goa, you will be away from the more touristy spots and have the chance to see a more unique and historical part of this area of India. Just five minutes away is the iconic Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount. Additionally just fifteen minutes away is the Basilica of Jesus and the churches of Saint Augustine and Francis of Assisi, amongst other highlights of historic colonial Goa. As well as being in close proximity to the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, the Divar and Chorao islands are just a short taxi and ferry ride on the Mandovi river away, and are perfect for walks and bicycle rides.

30 minutes in a cab gets you to the beach, 45 minutes to North Goa’s famous nightlife and an hour and a half to the quieter and less touristy South Goa. Champakali will be more than happy to arrange these journeys for you and with transport being such a reasonable price there is certainly something for everyone.

When in the property you will feel completely at home with a stocked pantry open at all hours so you can help yourself to biscuits and fruit or even make your own sandwich if you desire. If you would prefer to put your feet up just let the in-house chef know at the beginning of the day that you would would like lunch or dinner and they will prepare you a fantastic Indian or Continental feast. Breakfast is served when you would like with no fixed hours and includes coffee from some of the best plantations in south-india and daily fresh poi from the bakery nearby.

With the sounds of the river and calls of the birds, Champakali really does offer a completely unique setting for a villa style property in the luscious and beautiful Goa.
