Have a holiday...
When you need a holiday

The Garden Route is one of South Africa's most popular destinations and a great remedy to the British winter. As its name implies it offers a wonderful travelling experience and some fabulous holiday towns. Whether you need a one bedroom apartment or a ten bedroom villa, we pride ourselves on finding our customers a special place to stay, so that your well earned holiday becomes a wonderful memory for many years to come.

From the west, the Garden Route officially starts in Mossel Bay and ends at Plettenberg Bay in the east. The main destinations are Mossel Bay, Knysna with its peaceful lagoon, the dramatic coastline of Wilderness and the 'must be seen' beaches of Plettenberg Bay. From Plettenberg Bay you are within easy distance of Port Elizabeth and the famous Game Parks, a fantastic experience for all ages.

Another favourite place of Fleewinter is Hermanus, the first major town after Cape Town heading out on the Garden Route, a friendly and hospitable coastal resort famous for its whale watching.

Remember, December and January are the peak period and prices fall dramatically outside this period when the weather can still be great.

Getting there....

Booking flights is straightforward and whilst we can't book your flights, we'll happily help you with some advice.

BA , South African Airways and Virgin all fly direct from Heathrow to Cape Town where you can begin your Garden Route journey. The best starting place is British Airways as their website is the easiest to navigate. You can see how to save hundreds of pounds just by changing a date by one or two days. For this reason we don't have a fixed "change over" day and will try to fit in with your flights. Once you have an idea of price from BA, shop around and you may be able to reduce costs with SAA or Virgin.

Discount flight specialists sometimes offer cheaper indirect flights, although the savings are usually small, and our advice would be to pay a few pounds more for a direct flight - one of the beauties of South Africa is that while the flight is long haul, flights to Cape Town have a civilised evening take off and land just as Africa is waking up to a new day.

Once you arrive in Cape Town you have the option of taking internal flights, which offer fantastic value for money - try www.kulula.com You could drive to your Garden Route destination for your holiday then travel to Port Elizabeth for the Game Parks and then fly back to Cape Town for your return flight home.

As well as offering a single destination holiday we can also help you if you'd like to do a tour of the Garden Route, with a planned itinerary taking in all the sights, planned overnight stays and a hire car or even a vehicle with driver/guide if you require this too.

...And getting about

Renting a car is essential to get to your Garden Route destination. With driving on the left and an excellent road network it couldn't be easier. We have deals with local car hire firms and will be happy to get a quote for you

Travelling on the Garden Route is simple and relaxing. The national coastal N2 road runs practically straight along the Garden Route and is well signposted.
