The creator of the beautiful restored Governor's House (one of our favourite hotels in Phnom Penh) has turned his hand to a new project: The Cambodia Suite. For those who want boutique luxury in the heart of the city, look no further.

Originally housing the grand Hotel Manolis, the building was abandoned during the Pol Pot years and fell into disrepair. When the population returned to the city after the fall of the Khmer Rouge in the late nineties, the rooms were occupied by 'ordinary' Khmer families, which gave them a new lease of life.

Today, located on the first floor of this building, the Suite offers our guests a unique experience. From the private balcony, which overlooks the river, guests can view all the colourful hustle and bustle of every day Cambodian life.

The large suite features a super comfy king size bed, which can convert to twins, and a handsome bathroom featuring a rain shower and jacuzzi. The living area is spacious and there is even a kitchenette with an expresso machine and a fridge stocked with fresh fruits, cereals, and home-made goodies - accompanied by a fabulous wine selection.

The decor is fabulous.Renowned Belgian antiquity dealer and interior designer, Alain Garnier has pulled out all stops. Each stunning piece of furniture has been carefully selected and positioned to create the ultimate in aesthetic pleasure.

During their stay, guests will have a personal host who will be on call to assist whenever necessary and make sure that the visit to Phnom Penh is truly memorable.

While there is no restaurant as such as it is a private suite, guests can order food and enjoy dining in room or on the balcony, accompanied by a selection of fine wines.

Guests can also use the swimming pool and spa at sister property Villa Paradiso.
