Sal Salis does not offer traditional luxury, the luxury rather is in the experience. With just sixteen eco-luxe wilderness tents hidden amongst the dunes overlooking Ningaloo Reef, this all-inclusive resort provides a unique place from which to explore Western Australia’s coral coast.

The Exmouth Airport is less than a 2-hour drive and the Exmouth town centre it is about one-hour away.

The Tents
The tents are situated just 50 metres from the ocean amongst the low lying coastal dunes. Two kilometres behind the camp lies the Cape Range National Park, dissected by spectacular gorges.

Overlooking the pristine beach, Sal Salis brings a touch of eco-luxe style to the remote and beautiful wilderness. Blending with the environment, Sal Salis’ spacious wilderness tents sit on raised platforms and offer views of the natural surrounds and the ocean, as well as comfortable beds and an eco-en suite bathroom. The spacious, airy tents allow guests to take in the sounds of the surrounding bush and nearby ocean. The handmade jarrah beds are fitted with quality cotton sheets.

The Facilties
The main lodge is the heart of camp-life. Raised above the sand and coastal scrub with views out onto the reef and Ocean, it is the place to gather for meals and relaxation. Here guests will find a small reference library with a variety of board games and a comfortable lounge area with self-service bar – an ideal spot for relaxing during the heat of the day with a cold drink.

The chef at Sal Salis prepares contemporary cuisine using local produce, served in the outdoor dining area with views of the Indian Ocean sunset. In the evening kangaroos and wallaroos appear from the bush.

Guests can enjoy many unique nature activities, including sea kayaking, wildlife viewing, gorge walks, fishing, and star gazing.
There is no need to pre-book these itineraries, each day is mapped out by the guides to take into account the weather and the tide.

At an extra cost the camp can arrange whale shark swim experiences (April to July); humpback whale swim experiences (August to October); private boat charters for fishing or snorkelling to more distant sections of the reef or the Muiron Islands. These full day excursions must be pre-booked. Also available to self-drivers exploring the area are guided group cruises along Yardie Creek and glass bottom boat reef viewing vessels.

Sal Salis welcome children aged 5 years and over.

The camp is closed from 01 November to mid March.
